On Saturday, February 17, 2018, a delegation from the University of Zakho headed by the president of the University of Zakho Assistant Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel, Vice president of the university, Assistant professor Dr. Yaseen T. Mustafa, and Mr. Karwan Fahmi, Director of the Statistics and ICT Center, accompanied by IEEE Iraqi Representative, visited Duhok Polytechnic University.

The aim of the visit was to sign a memorandum of understanding with Duhok Polytechnic University and IEEE Iraqi Section in order to host a conference with scientific sponsorship of IEEE.
